The Cascade Cycling Classic held in Bend, Oregon is the longest consecutively run elite stage race in the country and has attracted most of North America's top cyclists and teams over the years. The quality of the racecourses, the beauty of Central Oregon and the fun atmosphere of the race has made it a perennial favorite and has the competitors returning year after year.

Roger Worthington has been a longtime sponsor of the event in the name of the Punch Worthington Research Lab as a part of the Pacific Heart, Lung and Blood Institute. Worthington has won the masters division of the CCC three times between 1995 and 2008.
