A History of Results
We’ve represented patients and families affected by asbestos illness
since 1993. Unlike big firms with mass-marketing campaigns, we are a small
firm very selective in the cases we handle. Through this “quality
vs. quantity” approach, we have helped our clients recover over
$2.5 Billion in compensation.
Claims for Compensation
Asbestos lawsuits involve claims against solvent entities responsible for
our client’s asbestos exposures-typically 10, 20 or more “defendants.”
Additional claims are often pursued in the trusts of bankrupt companies
which cannot be sued.
Settlements
Defendants seeking to avoid the risk of trial will settle. Prior success
at trial drives the amount defendants pay to settle cases. The amount
of each defendant’s settlement is confidential. A client’s
total recovery often consists of multiple defendant settlements and bankruptcy
trust settlements.
Verdicts
Cases go to trial against defendants which refuse to offer acceptable settlements.
A successful trial results in a verdict which is a matter of public record.
In most of our cases, the verdict combines with multiple settlements to
comprise the client’s total recovery.
