The weather forecast was blazing but that didn’t stop hikers from
braving the gradual hike to Inspiration Point. Clear skies allowed for
far reaching views from the Santa Monica Bay to downtown Los Angeles.
Afterwards hikers congregated on the beautiful green lawn, (the only outdoor
polo field in Los Angeles!) and were rewarded with a BBQ lunch, an auction,
and raffle offering up some great prizes.
We also remembered the friends and family we have lost to mesothelioma
and honored those who are still fighting! Tina Herford and Anna Schofield
were among the patients who made it out. They are an inspiration to everyone
in the community and proof that funding research into better treatment
options improves quality of life and longevity.
“This was such a wonderful turn out here at our new location at Will
Roger’s State Park. It was heartbreaking to lose Paramount Ranch
in last year’s fires, but this is a beautiful place for us to come
together for our cause.” Clare Cameron, Executive Director at PMC.
