It’s time to “Get your motor running…Head out on the
Highway” for the 2019
Greatest Escape Motorcycle Ride!!
The ride, which raises funds for mesothelioma research conducted by the
Pacific Mesothelioma Center in Los Angeles, is inspired by
The Great Escape movie, starring Steve McQueen, who died of mesothelioma in 1980. Clare
Cameron, Executive Director of PMC, says, "We are thrilled to again
be hosting
The Greatest Escape Motorcycle Ride, says PMC Executive Director Clare Cameron. “After holding the ride
five years in a row and taking a break in 2018 to pursue other fundraising
endeavors, we were inundated with requests to bring back the ride in 2019.
So this year we’re back with a new route and the support of a new
group of volunteers.”
Since its inception, the event has attracted hundreds of riders from all
over Southern California for the opportunity to gather and reflect. Worthington
& Caron has been a supporter since the beginning and is proud to be
a presenting sponsor again this year.
The ride is
Saturday, April 6. Riders will meet at
Ventura Harley-Davidson located at 1326 Del Norte Road in Camarillo. Check-in and Day-of-Event
Registration opens at 10:00 AM.
Kickstands up at 11:30 AM!! The ride will follow a scenic route through the Santa Susanna mountains
ending at
